The Doll's Festival

It is a traditional festival in Japan.
It is the event which is held for girls in March 3 every year.

We call it Hinamatsuri. Hina means dolls, and matsuri means festival.
Another name is Momo-no-Sekku.The history of this festival is very long.
It began in Edo Era, but just doll playing started in Heian Era.

We display dolls and enjoy eating Chirasi-Zushi.
The main purpose is praying for health and well being of young girls :)

We sing the song of the Doll’s Festival. It’s a very famous song, and easy to remember. After celebrating this event, it is said that we have to put back all dolls as much as possible.
If we do it later and later, a marriage also will be later and later :(

Christmas in Greece :)

I’m going to talk about fast.
Fast means No eating. Can you be patient with no eating?
People can’t eat for 40 days.
Until Christmas Eve.
They can’t eat
meat, fish, dairy products, and sweets.
Dairy products are milk, cheese, butter, and so on. They only have vegetables or water.
Not all the people do it, but it’s a habit in Greece.

On Christmas day in the morning,
they go to church. The ceremony began in the early morning. It lasts about 1 hour. During the ceremony, people kept standing up and sometimes pray with the cross.
Then they receive bread and wine from priest there.
After this is done, they can go home and eat special Christmas dishes!!

My speeeech☆

I'm going to talk about "Beer Aging".
"Aging" means "熟成" in Japanese.
Aging is very important to drink Beer.

Beer is kept in dark tanks for a few weeks.
Degree is about 0℃.
During keeping Beer in tanks, carbon dioxide and Beer are mixed.
And getting from BAD SMELLS!!

Next, I'll tell about Beer cleaning.
After finishing aging, Beer yeasts go away.
Thanks to this, Beer becomes much clearer, easier to drink, and delicious!!
For sending to people, delicious Beer is poured in Bottles, Cans, and Barrels.

That's all. Thank you for listening :) ☆

SPEECH

Advantages of Vending machine
Have you ever used any vending machines?
What do you think of them?
I’m going to talk about some advantages of vending machines.
First, we can see it all over Japan. For example, near our house, on the road, in stations, even in schools!! Thanks of these, we can drink or eat or buy something whenever we want.
Second, especially drinks have some advanced points, I think. Vending machines sell hot drinks and cold drinks together. So, if you feel cold, you can drink something to hot. Of course, if you feel hot, you can drink something to cold.
Finally, when you touch a drink to a part of your body, it will change the drink into a cooler or a body warmer.

my★speech

I’ll talk about sports in University of Oxford.
There are many kinds of sports in the University of Oxford. For example, rugby is very famous, strong, and old. Something else, American football, Soccer, Volleyball, and so on.
In addition, you can play ice hockey and ice skating in winter. And you can join a boat race. The boat race is called “Regatta”.

Next I’ll explain about “SUBFUSC”.
We have to wear it when we hold a dinner needing full dress to be called "formal hall".
If you are female student, you should wear white blouse, black skirt or pants, a black jacket, black stockings, black shoes, and a black ribbon. If you are male student, you should wear white shirt, a white bow tie, and black suit.
It is a tradition and the rule that is different from the university system of other countries.
